March General Meeting with Guest Speaker Dugald Cameron

  • March 05, 2019
  • 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM
  • McConaghy Seniors' Centre, 10100 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill

Dugald CameronGuest Speaker: Dugald Cameron
Topic: Summer Flowering Bulbs

Summer-flowering, spring-planted bulbs are known to produce some of the most dramatic garden colour with very little effort, while also taking up minimal space in the garden. Dugald will share some of this favourites with us this evening, and tips such as tucking bulbs in among perennials to create a fuller-looking bed, and adding them to container arrangements to create something truly special.

Dugald Cameron’s garden interests began early in his English grandmother’s garden. In Canada, he and his Father founded Garden Imports, a mail order nursery that thrilled Canadian gardeners for thirty-two years. Dugald was also the first President of the Greater Toronto Bulb Society and on the Toronto Botanical Garden Board of Directors for thirteen years. Dugald remains active in the horticultural community and is a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and popular speaker at gardening venues.
