Our June 15, 2019 Bus Trip...
   

is a ticketed event, open to society members and to the public, featuring stops at the following locations:


Not So Hollow Farm (www.NotSoHollowFarm.ca), offering:

  • Nursery of container-grown pollinator friendly trees, shrubs and perennials native to Ontario
  • Kiosk shop featuring native wildflower seed bombs, hand made wreaths, native plant notecards, native bee houses, wren houses, wild fruit preserves, black walnut votive holders, gluten-free products, educational handouts, fresh wildflower arrangements, local honey, hypertufa planters
  • Viki's Vegan Takeaway featuring vegan gluten-free prepared foods


Mrs. Mitchell's Restaurant (www.MrsMitchells.com), offering:

  • Choice of Starter:
  • Smoked Wild Mushroom Soup
  • Fresh Garden Salad
  • Choice of Main Entree:
  • Chicken Cacciatore served over pasta
  • Filet of Sole filled with lobster and cream cheese served with a Newberg sauce and basmati rice
  • Beef Tenderloin Tips sauteed with red wine, mushrooms, peppers and onions served on basmati rice       
  • Choice of Dessert:
  • White Chocolate Cheesecake with fruit puree
  • Slice of Fruit Pie
  • Coffee or Tea

      Vegetarian and/or gluten-free options may be requested during ticket-purchase.


Lilactree Farm, offering:

  • A three-acre country garden combining thoughtful design with unusual plantings, garden rooms, artistic sculptures
  • Plants potted up for sale, some rare such as double bloodroot, small trees and books by the owner

 

Our luxury coach bus departs at 8:15 a.m. from the Elgin West Community Centre at 11099 Bathurst Street in Richmond Hill, with an approximate return time of 6:00 p.m.

 

Tickets are $89 per person for society members, $99 for guests/non-society members and can be purchased at our General Meetings or by clicking the Register button to the left.

 

Note that participation is not confirmed until payment has been received. Payment is non-refundable unless the bus trip is cancelled by The Richmond Hill Garden & Horticultural Society. A signed Bus Waiver form must be provided to board the bus.
