Richmond Hill's Heritage Summit participation

  • September 10, 2023
  • 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
  • Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, 10268 Yonge Street

The Heritage Summit is an opportunity to appreciate and celebrate Richmond Hill's heritage, presented in partnership between the City and the Richmond Hill Historical Society.

Festivities at the Centre for the Performing Arts are two-fold:

First, from 1 to 4:00 pm is a free "Mix and Mingle" event, featuring a pop-up museum and informational booths for organizations, such as ourselves, with long-standing community ties. Stop by our society's booth to say, "Hello," learn more about us, and pick up a free bag of tulip bulbs.

The public is also invited to a free, but ticketed event in the Main Stage from 7 to 9:30 pm, featuring guest speaker Ted Barris.  Mr. Barris, a Toronto historian and author, will discuss the role of Medics, Doctors and Nurses in WWI and II, with a Richmond Hill emphasis.  The evening concludes with a presentation of heritage awards.
